A good chunk of the library is built for two people sharing one keyboard, which is worth knowing because it is easy to miss. Where Our Games Come From
We want to be straight about this. We do not make these games. They are browser games built by independent developers and studios, and we license and embed them through the games platform GamePix. All rights in the games belong to the people who made them, and every game page on Nelof says so.
What is ours is the writing. Every description, controls list, tips section and FAQ on this site was written by hand by our team. If you are a developer and you want a listing corrected or removed, tell us and we will do it.
Why These Games and Not Others
There are tens of thousands of browser games available to a site like this one. We list 130 of them, and the gap between those two numbers is the point of Nelof. A game gets in if it loads quickly, works on a phone as well as a desktop, has controls that actually respond, and is worth a second session. Everything else gets left out.
That is also why the library grows slowly. We would rather add four games a month that we can stand behind than four hundred we have never opened.

Are the games on Nelof really free?
Yes. Every game is free to play, with no purchases, no subscriptions and no locked levels. The site is paid for by advertising.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Every game runs directly in your web browser.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up on Nelof and no login. Open a game page and press play.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The site and the great majority of the games work on desktop, tablet and mobile. Where a game is keyboard-only or needs two players at one keyboard, we say so on its page.
Why did my saved progress disappear?
Game progress is saved by the game itself in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. Clearing your cookies and site data, or playing in a private window, will wipe it. We cannot restore it, which is explained further in our cookies policy.
How do I report a broken game?
Use our contact page and tell us the game name plus the browser and device you were using. Broken game reports go to the top of our list.
